ANGELIQUE BURRELL is a writer and author of A Mark in the Road, which won the 2023 Illinois Author Project “Soon to be Famous” award and is a Kindle Book Review “Best of Indie” young adult semifinalist.

      With an English teacher as a father and a mother with a degree in library sciences, it’s no surprise that Angelique grew up loving to read. For over 30 years, she taught high school English and creative writing in a suburb of Chicago, bringing her love of reading and writing to high school students. She is blessed to have a supportive husband who doesn't mind her binge-writing late into the night, a daughter and son to bounce ideas off of, and a labrador retriever to distract her from her work. Angelique is a native Illinoisan, but travels to Lake Tahoe, California, whenever she can to get her fix of the mountains.
